Yixuan Hua
I am a fifth year PhD student in the Operations Research and Financial Engineering (ORFE) department at Princeton University, co-advised by Prof. Amir Ali Ahmadi and Prof. Bartolomeo Stellato.
My research focuses on mathematical optimization and its applications in machine learning, combinatorial problems, and beyond. In particular, my work has brought a convex perspective to neural network training and developed new computational frameworks for polynomial optimization. For example, my Disjunctive Sum of Squares paper proposes a new hierarchy for certifying nonnegativity of polynomials with multiple low-degree algebraic identities.
I received my undergraduate degree from the School of Mathematical Sciences at Peking University.
